Dream come true (vehicle)

    My vehicle I created in the dorm at school. I did some modeling stuff for the school for free. Since the ports on the school network were all closed we couldn't play games. We made our own lan and played UT04 on the weekends. The idea sprung up that I should make an something like the APU's in the Matrix. I cried as I removed detail to get this thing to just under 6500 faces :eek: . Well here it is.

    Now getting this into UT04 is the next task, one I don't know if I'll be able to complete.

    Do try. The lack of mech-like things in the community so far astounds even me, who doesn't appreciate mech-like things very much. And the model does look really cool. The legs are top notch. It kind of looks like early-technology mechs. I like them a lot.

    The Problem wouldn´t be to get it ingame...rather to get it animated and work properly :lol:

    Coding would be required...

    It's getting there, almost into unreal. Here I have attached the files needed to import into UnrealED. So you can import the lower half of the mech and see it animate for yourself. :D :D :eek:

    I didn't rotate the bones so, make sure you check "Assume Maya Coordinates" when you import the mesh.

    Now I just need to get it coded up. Enjoy.

    I think this one will have to wait until the Unreal Engine 3 is out =]

    The other ones shouldn’t need to much coding, just make all the animations that are in the current pawns (Make sure they have the same name etc). Of course this is still a big job.

    The question is, do the feet fal flat when going up an incline?

    That pic isn't a good pic. I took that pic then I added physics right after. I'm about to give up on the coding anyways. I don't think it matters if the feet fall flat, it matters if the repulsors at attached to the bones. There is a bone at the tip of every toe and five bones in the center of the bottom of the foot.

    Well even though I think it might look funny with fleet floating in the air that pic looks great.

    Man that's a lot of bones...
