Hi there. My name is Dean and I have been in the gaming industry for over 20 years. I was in charge of the art team on the biggest selling Star Wars game EVER "Star Wars Battlefront" just to get my credentials out the way
Anyway. I just wanted to let everyone know that I am currently working on a huge mod as part of my BA degree in entertainment Media.
I am jsut getting up to speed with the Unreal Engine and have got my first couple of characters running around (though textures and bits are missing off some parts, but thats all part of the learning).
So I just wanted to let you all know that the Mod I am making is called "Doctor Who - The Time War" and basically will be a Multiplayer mass army Star Wars Battlefront style game that will feature all of the major Doctor Who aliens and Monsters fighting through time and space in epic battles. I have been wanting to make this game for as long as I can remember and fueled by the fact that I did Star Wars Battlefront I thought this would be a good time to do this.
so far I have made a Dalek, Cyberman and Sontaran, Here are a few images to show you my work in progress.

I have managed to get the Cyberman and Sontaran in game (with a few hiccups here and there) but getting the Daleks in as playable characters might be more of a problem. I am thinking that I could make the Daleks work as a vehicle and somehow get them in as playable characters that way but thats going to be a while off. One step at a time.
So my plan at the moment is getting a few characters in and running around working 100%, then get an enviroment done for them, then look at the gameplay side of things wich will be the more technical and difficult phase and might need help with a coder on that. But that will be a few months away yet.
If I have time I want to incorporate a single player /Co-op adventure to the game too where you control the Doctor and a companion.
So as you can see its very ambitious but Its going to be a labour of love and hopefully at the end of it (however long it takes) I will be able to get the game out to you guys and have a play.
I will keep you all posted with the progress.
all the best and thanks for looking.
Dean
