It's been three years since we've seen a map from GreenLoves, but he sends word that one is underway - DM-Tenshi for Unreal Tournament 2004. The suggested player load is 4-8.

What has inspired him to create a UT2004 map after all of these years? "Possibly nostalgia, or from enthusiasm of this Unreal series", he says.

For now, here's a few shots.

Well, that's if you're not counting his CBP3 levels. CBP3-Radiant was released in July 2010.

It's still nice to see a UT2004 level again. Just when I re-installed it on my notebook, too! :)

This looks pretty good. Now we need a normal mapping plugin and it's back to ut2k4 for me...

Indeed. But the fact that UT2k4 and UT3 are not even on Steam anymore for whatever reason (I asked Flak in a PM but she wriggled out of the question by giving me a UT3 key to redeem on Steam ) makes that even less likely.

Well I don't see epic doing anything on the subject either.

My comment was kinda a nod to the other recent ut2k4 news bit about the ut2k4 clone that is under way. Basically IMO they would make better use of there time and talents making a mod to improve the visuals of UT2k4 then a clone of it.

Hmm, yeah, seems to be one.

I get an "Uups, sorry! This product is not available in your country at the moment." Why are they doing that, only UT99 is on the index in Germany. :(

But yeah, with a cookie from the US store may I find it as well.

But is it true that the Steam version comes without the editor?
Well, anyway I am going to post something later this day that will hopefully extend the game's life for some more years. *mysterious hint*

Hm... the funny thing is, that even before I read this article I was sort of tempted to make another UT2004 level myself. But every time I remember I have to do zoning and the like my motivation suddenly disappears and I drop the idea

Zoning is fun! Sounds weird, but I actally missed it in UT3. =(

Wow! GreenLoves. That takes me back.

There was some decent mappin' there back in the day.

If you haven't played any of GreenLoves maps and you are still playing UT2K4 then I recommend spinning this one up and having a look.

Read: Lack of enthusiasm for UT3? ;)
