Once occupied by Axon, this base under rock was used to store mainly toxic containers. It was discovered by coincidence by the Necris. The Necris have setup this base & use it as a 'Nano' storehouse. We can found several types of Nano, the yellow, the yellow/orange, the green & the black.

Comments:

This is my second map. The DM version took more than 800 working hours split on 9 months. There is 11 500 items in this map. I hope you will like it  All armors, medium health & powerups are very easy to collect, therefore are placed in dangerous spots. About the jumppads, I made everything I can to set them right. By taking them from front, there is no problem & you get use to them rather quickly :)

As for the GRD version, well friends of mine who play Geed game type ask me to make a Greed variation of Nano. I decide to make it. I also decide to do lot’s of pickups changes & do other minors stuff.

I'm getting a average of ±55 FPS or more playing against 19 bots with my rig in 1680x1050 everything set to max. My PC specs are :

OCZ 600 Watt
Asus P5N-D (NF750i)
Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 (3.0 GHz/1333/6M)
4 GB OCZ Reaper (DDR2 800 Mhz CAS 3.4.4.15)
Saphire Radeon HD4870 1 GB with Catalyst 9.12
Segeate 500 GB 32 MB[/COLOR]

It looks great, plays smoothly for me, and has lots of paths and angles. After a few rounds through it the main things that stand out are the column hopping to get the shield belt and the organic graphics for the jump pads.

THX

Happy to know that FPS is not an issue on your rig :D

I don't know if you play TDM but if you don't, taking control of all the powerups bring a completely different dynamic in this map ;)

I've been informed that even if maps are using Titan pack assets, it can be cook for the PS3. Look like things as been changed so it's good for everyone :D

I had coock the map by following DG's tutorial & I didn't encounter any issues. Still, I don't have the console so before putting the PS3 version in the first post, I need PS3 testers.

Take note that if the map is not running well on the console, I won't edit the map & change stuff around for the console version. So I hope that everything will play well on the console

EDIT

Here it is : http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?zzgimjor4tz

Have fun :D

EDIT 2

I'll leave the map on my main host (Mediafire) in case someone someday can make it work on there console. Still, be waned that I'll delete it if I'm going out of hosting space.

This is a really fun map to play! The weapon/item placements were done really well. It looks awesome, and runs smoothly on my computer. Nice job! :2thumb:

Nice job on the optimization. The performance improvement versus the beta is definitely noticeable. It is not far off from some stock maps, which is pretty impressive for such a detailed map.

Also, the sounds transitions are greatly improved.

sounds like some good positive feedback there steve. should be proud for your second map. Q? have you used the unreal engine before like UED 1 - 3 ? good to hear people say performance is good. Keep it up.

Hey Bazz :D

Well, indeed as my first map, feedback is very positive, players like them so I must say I'm happy with that.

As for mapping, nope, I never touch a game editor before my previous map. there is so much things to learn !

Um, OK, so where do I start? I guess I should have tried this a few months ago. Looks like a little Necris influence (or is it Borg?).;) This is a seriously sweet and dark map; I love the attention to detail, sounds and music. Looks like that one area has a bit of a Campgrounds influence as well.:) This has unbelievable gameplay, good item placement, and the bots are very good in DM, TDM, CTF and Greed. Some interesting CTF and Greed matches, but i think this map is more suited to DM/TDM; my team really sucked at CTF and, especially, Greed. It probably didn't help that I didn't know the layout. I'll have to play a few more times to figure where the F I am and WTF I'm doing.;)

I'm not a big fan of the health/item "lockers" or the fake jumppads inside an enclosure. Ok, so it's a bit confusing, but not overly decorated. I did not see a bot get stuck on a jumppad and I like the way the bases are arranged for CTF and Greed (it's different and in this case is good).

Well dude, TBH, I wasn't influence by anything. I just wanted to use this & that only & play with those assets like I did few years back with my Lego blocks lol

The fact is that I like only few Necris / LH / HU assets & I tried to mix them well together. I'm also trying to do custom materials instead of using stock one that most of the time look rather washed out. I think the results is not to bad.

I must say that this map as been released as DM in the first place & I do like playing more TDM than DM so the map as been optimize for that also.

I recently release the Greed version. It is not made to be played in CTF mode but I didn't know how to force the GRD over CTF & naming the map GRD-MyMap doesn't work neither.

Now, my turn to THX you dude. THX for posting in a lot of thread, here & on Epic. The game is dying & when people like you post it encourage mappers to continue making free content for a rather dead game.

I do speak for me only & I'm very grateful of all the positive comments you post all around mappers threads. Many others see & read your posts but are to cheap & lazy to post back to you.

THX for your nice words dude & for the time you take to post something constructive & positive ;)
