I'm getting ready to play some single-player with Inf weapons--not botmatches but actual single-player maps. There are good instructions re how to do that for Old Unreal, and the game mode you choose (in the Mission screen) is "INF - Coop Unreal Game". However, there are also a lot of single-player maps available (custom, user-made) for Unreal Tournament. Which game mode is best for that? It'll be either "INF - coop game" or ""INF - coop game (fixed)", but which one?

And what's the difference between the two, anyway? The manual is no help on this issue.

I think if you install the CE 2013 pack it has all the custom INF co-op and updated files in it and you can then play through the "INF - Coop Unreal Game" all the missions. Then you can also play on the co-op servers.

"INF - Coop Game" is the game type that came with INF 2.9 and it contains some bugs. Most important, map change in network game does not work. I fixed that bug with "INF - Coop Game (fixed)". Otherwise both are identical.

"INF - Coop Unreal Game" adds some more fixes in order to play Unreal/RtNP maps:
    - fixes SkaarjTroopers spawning without weapons
    - fixes "Transporter" in order to make ExtremeDGen work
    - makes monster "bAlwaysRelevant" so they don't disappear in network games
    - adds a default inventory (translator and scuba gear)
    - removes hardcoded RtNP game class from Teleporters

If you intend to play maps that were made for Unreal or UT single player or coop, then "INF - Coop Unreal Game" is the right choice.

Ironwood, to be safe, make a backup copy of your UT folder (if you have the HDD space) and then install CE 2013 and see if there's problems, so you can revert back without reinstalling UT and then INF again.
