Death notification

I read one or two messages suggesting that players should not be notified of other player deaths and what not cause you wouldn't know if it were real.

Well, here's an idea. I don't know if there are plans to make a radio communication system but if so, messages such as "Enemy Down!", and another like "Man Down!" could be added for notification of team and enemy deaths.

Upon recieving the message, team member's status on who is alive and dead would be updated.

Hmm, I think that this subject was already touched upon (ie: your suggestions in specific) but I'll respond regardless. The thing I don't like about being able to see who's alive and who's dead is it is unrealistic. I'd rather have to conduct a manual body count or check in with the rest of my team (a radio message like "status"), then have a score tally. The F1 option should be disabled completely, or maybe F1 should be replaced by what F3 is normally reserved for, ie: mission objectives. Just hitting F1 to get your objectives is alot better in the scheme of things, if you're going to remove the kill tally.

But as far as knowing who's alive and who's dead without manually checking in, only the ghosts should have that option. They're already dead, so they may as well have the luxury to entertain themselves for the rest of the round.

I can see if you have a direct LOS on a team mate, foe, or friendly, and calling specifically "Man down", "subject down" or "friendly down", but other than a direct LOS reporting scheme, there's no real way of knowing who went down where.

Radio commands sound good,
dare i say it you get them in CS, but since you see who`s dead there anyway, there`s little point to them, while here, it`d be better.
