My 2.85 install won't go to full screen when set to D3D

    i have done this:

    fresh install of UT
    420 patch
    436 patch
(ran UT in full screen - its OK)

    installed 2.85 umod
    2.80 maps umod
    2.85 maps umod

    .... and still no go.

UT runs fine in full screen but 2.85 won't do.

Before the fresh install I had 2.82 running no problem.

    any clues?

Software rending works fine (but eeewww)

GeForce 256, windows ME, directx 8, 800Mhz PIII.

i run in d3d and mine runs full screen. if you type preferences at the console it'll bring up a menu. that should have an option someone to set it to startup full screen. you can also try alt+enter.

    try new vid drivers

Mine was doing the same thing. I downloaded the new Detonator 3 drivers for my TNT2, and now 2.85 runs full screen.

Had the same problem.. I had to reinstall EVERYTHING, I didn't use the 420 patch, istead patching immediately with the 436 one..once I did that, I had no more problems.

Why do people insist on putting their 'two cents' in when they don't have a penny to spare?
