Current mapping projects

Im Currently only working on 2 maps

1-CTF-<BuA>Insidious
-thank you ax for the work on zoning, i would be done by
now but got sidetracked with the following map

85% done

2-DM-Nigma-Backyard (still undecided about name)
- i finnaly figured out how to make terrain :)
lots of work left but i think ill be done with 2 weeks

40% done


-i have attached a screenshot of my dm level

When I said it was all jumbled, I meant when people replied, it was hard to tell who or what they were responding to. New, promising maps were quickly lost in the shuffle. Maybe if each mapper simply had their own "My current map projects" thread?

If we were to do this, the original thread would become obsolete.
I'm not saying that it would be a bad thing... but what would be the purpose of keeping the original thread around?

What do you mean? All the old threads are still there. The only things that are gone are the threads that were lost when BU had to be restored from an old backup.

I meant that the Active mapping projects thread would be obsolete, if we made a thread per mapper.
There would be no point in keeping it, because no one would use it again, no one would look at it, etc. ;)

Not that I agree with that, but so what?

And actually, I don't agree. Someone looking for some old nostalgia could browse through it sometime and remember the "way back when". It would be like the other threads, part of the BuA Forum history. What's wrong with that?

Enigma, this thread may remain for now.

I have studied your map. These are my suggestions:

-Correct lighting on meshes (lighting sometimes disappears)
-Lighting on ground is too bright for the time of night.
-Add basic blocking volumes around meshes such as the doghouse, so that dead player bodies do not fall through.
-Textures on doghouse mesh should be aligned
-Leafs on trees sometimes disappear

-Perhaps you should remove the awkward blocking volumes around the wall and add monsters that kill the player if the outside boundary is entered.
