I also look more to gameplay than visuals in a map..but that's me. However, this map hurt my eyes. It's gotta be one of the worst looking maps I've seen in quite a while (sorry..the sky and the pyramids have the same animations?). The statue in the flag rooms should be removed (players can knock it into the doorway or put it over the flag)...

Gameplay though; well the statue is part of that. Should be ok; but nobody likes to play maps as loud in visuals as this one. I like the low mountain ridge; a good piston jump can let a FC get home quickly; the matches will go FAST. I also like the terrain outside of the bases (it's simple..but I was surprised the author even thought to do this); the little hills people can go over are a nice touch IMO. The stairs across the ridge have a weird lip that can catch a player in a few places..bad. I don't like how easy it is to camp the flag though..damage/rockets/lots of ammo all in the flag room? No thanks..

But, just fixing up how the map looks (take out the jets, take off the unreal symbol, give the pyramid some textures that blend with the rest of the map, etc) would go a long way to improving the map. Add a second entrance (maybe through the pipe?) to the flagroom and the map might be ok. 433 is just a wee bit better than this one. :)

Like I said, old n00b map of mine. :) Once I finish with my current project (A SLV map, much better looking), I'm gonna fix that thing up. Originally, I tried putting an entrance in the pipe, but I was a n00b mapper like I said. When I fix it up, that's one thing i'm gonna fix. Problem was I didn't know changing the grid size affects how accurate brush movements you can make, so I got pissed since I couldn't get it in position and forgot it. :rolleyes:

looks good, i like those very very good aligned rock textures on those high poly beautifull made rocks, 3dsmax i suppose ?
the green and orange electricybeams give the map besides that a very good futuristic look,
and not to forget, the very cool textured houses and those robots, wich are perfect too duck behind in a firefight

OMG I don't even know how to use any 3d modeler, let alone have one. I did it with TerraEdit and smoothed it to hell. ;) :p ;)
The house texture is in FractalFX.utx if you want it.

Here's the list of stuff to redo when I go back to it (so far):

First map? It sure would be a fun spamfest..I added a sh!tload of bots and it was crazy in there. Hmm..wonder how 20 players would do on it...
