Maverick wanted some comments on this map, since it is his first CTF, and I gotta say, not bad for a 1st effort in the realm of CTF, not bad at all.
This is a tight little map, very close for the most part, but one of the nice things is, for a close map, you don't get "hung up" too much on the scenery. ( You know what I mean, those little places you get "stuck" on some maps.)
Overall, has a nice look and atmosphere, and in the brighter areas, the walls and floor allow you to paint pretty pictures with the flak cannon and an opponent's gibs. My one gripe is there are a few dark areas where the blood just doesn't show very well.
It does make up for it with pretty good item placement, and plenty of health to keep you trudging after that flag. Some might think there is too much health, but on a small and close map like this, you really need it.
The single negative (which some would see a positive, but then that would be you shockwhores out there, so you don't count.) is the chokepoints, of which there are several. It does make it easy to control the approaches, especially at the single " easy" access to the flag rooms, and the shockrifle and a couple of reloads, are right there.
If you play instagib, then it is no problem, if you play regular, but with translocator disabled, you are going to be in for a long game if the defense knows it's business.
All in all, not bad for a first effort for a CTF map. Good work dude.
