    Title: CTF-Fasader

    Download: http://files.filefront.com/13733288

    Author: Christian "Berjj" Berg.

    eMail Address: berjjet@gmail.com

    Release Date: 9 March 2009.

Requirements: At least patch 2.0 (possibly 2.1) and Titan Pack.

    Version: 1.0

Credits: I would like to thank the following people for their feedback and encouragements:

Fellow students at The Garden, especially:

    Matthias "Farbror Fisk" Ek
    Andreas Larsson
    Robert "SaRobban" Sandh
    Thommy "Taros" Holmström
    Magnus "Magand" Andersson

    as well as:

    Kyle "Juggalo_Kyle/Ish" Logan
    Sjoerd "Hourences" De Jong
    Stranj
JetFire (Sorry for letting you guys down!)

and my two very close friends:

    Philip "Phol" Olsson
    Robin "Ruffa" Jacobsson.

Comments: I really thought this was going to be one of those maps you get started on and never quite finish. I started working on this map about 14 months ago (Effective working time is obviously a LOT shorter) and I'm happy to finally be able to release it. This marks my first release for UT3. :)

The map is quite demanding so unless you've got a really powerful machine running UT3 I'd suggest you to lower your details. A lot of less important objects aren't rendered on lower detail settings.

Aaaaaand now what everyone is waiting for... Screenshots. ;)

Nice MeanyMortal. I especially like the 4th ones in the first and second set. I like the rubble you layed out and then the one with with city street/alley with the light rays/beams(?) coming down from the steet light.:)

EDIT: Maybe it is just me but I can't get the FilePlanet link to work.

Good fun map. Using the TranzLoc, it takes about 5 seconds to get to the enemy flag from your spawn point. Which could be good for a fast style of CTF gameplay.

I am glad that you did finally finish this map. I still have the ole blocky beta with the giant red brick walls, and a perfect hole cut into it. ;)

Looks nice, ofc I'm too busy to play it. Wonder why... :p

Hope to see you on a Planetstorm server real soon so I can splatter your blood over your carefully placed mesh ^_^

Hehe, this map was pretty much designed to be played without xloc. I fiddled around with kismet in an attempt to destroy the jump pads to the sniper rifle if there was a player in the map equipped with the xloc. It didn't work out, and releasing 2 different versions of this map for such a small change feels kinda lame. ;p

Haha, you know, the moment I realized the map was finished I had an instant flashback to when I placed the first BSP brush (The asphalt outside red base!). I have about 20 different versions of this map (including at least 5 autosaves for each) sitting on my HDD. I better free up some space and delete them now. ;p

Oh, and I'll remember you nick next time! :)

I owe you as much. Let me know when you have time and I'll let the entire team splatter me as much as they like. :p

I've been meaning to post an apolegy and explanation on your forums for a long time now, but I've been delaying it like I usually do. Expect that apolegy to be up within 24 hours.

This map was totally hilarious in Greed with BattleRPG and about 32 players. I once had a rocket launcher with added damage and Monster Killed maybe 80 bots in the span of a minute or so. Gibalicious left a nice big pile of splatter after that. It was like this, but way bigger and at another part of the Blue Base:

    Thanks for making this map!

Dang it, I keep forgetting to try these maps with the Greed gametype. Anyway, this map has darkness, rain, lightning, thunder and a city to bring together a great atmosphere. Too bad we can't get on top of those buildings.;) I love the lightning effect and the way it lights up the sky and almost the whole map at times. Good use of lighting and color trim in the bases. It would work great on a small CTF map server and these matches good be very quick. There are interesting paths out of and into the bases and I like the "almost" back way to CTF.
