Critical Errors? Telefragging?

  • Two Factor Authentication is now available on BeyondUnreal Forums. To configure it, visit your Profile and look for the "Two Step Verification" option on the left side. We can send codes via email (may be slower) or you can set up any TOTP Authenticator app on your phone (Authy, Google Authenticator, etc) to deliver codes. It is highly recommended that you configure this to keep your account safe.

Just was wondering if anyone has experienced critical errors during botmatches or telefraggings since the 2.6 release?

Hey, Cat...

Just to let ya know, I telefragged myself once, when I joined, and play was already in motion... I must've hit the exact time that play started, because it included me on the team, but didn't say I was dead. It didn't affect gameplay tho, except that peeps thought they had more players coming at them... when the last 'real' player on my team died, it ended the round without causing problems because I was supposedly still alive... Just a glitch, I'm sure!

Anyone else had this or something similar happen?

I was telefragged today on 2.6...don't recall which map, or whether I was counted on the roster. It was my initial spawn after signing onto the server.

I've actually noticed a lot more Critical Errors resulting from supposedly no Virtual Memory. Not sure how this is possible though since I have 600mb allocated to virtual Memory. Is that not enough?

If you're interested, Catalyst, I could send you a snapshot of the error the next time it happens.

This is an issue with the Mac version, so unfortunately there's nothing I can do...besides, there is no handling of memory in Unrealscript.

Ah! The old Virtual Memory error.... This is a base Unreal problem... I have 256Mb of memory, 11Gb free space, and no other processes running in the background... I still get 'em... Unreal patch 226? HMMM? HMMM?
