Crackling through speakers?

    Ever since i moved back from uni (for christmass) my speakers where having that broken cracklign sound. Know i moved back to uni and have my other set, they instantly had the same sound. So i'm not sure its the speakers bt my computer itself. Any ideas?

    Likely your sound card. Smaller speakers are pretty hard to damage these days.

    what kind of cable connects the pc to the speakers? could it be a poor quality 3.5mm jack?

    Also, make sure not to keep your cellphone close to them. The interference can cause crackling noises too.
