Two Factor Authentication is now available on BeyondUnreal Forums. To configure it, visit your Profile and look for the "Two Step Verification" option on the left side. We can send codes via email (may be slower) or you can set up any TOTP Authenticator app on your phone (Authy, Google Authenticator, etc) to deliver codes. It is highly recommended that you configure this to keep your account safe.
Reinstalling only fixes overwritten data files, it doesn't restore INIs. Try deleting UT2004.ini and User.ini from your UT2004\System directory. Make backups if you want to copy over key binds or graphics settings.
Not to sound like a conspiracy theorist, but could Atari be intentionally neglecting the master server in order to get holdouts to switch to UT3?
Not the client side server browser, the master server. Doesn't the master server belong to Atari?
Gotcha. Well, is there any chance Epic could be knowingly neglecting the UT2004 master server in a bid to get people to upgrade to UT3?
No. There is none. They're just having technical difficulties, since a Master Server is just like a normal server, you can expect downtime.
I assumed they'd finally killed it.
