COMCAST Highspeed Usage

  • Two Factor Authentication is now available on BeyondUnreal Forums. To configure it, visit your Profile and look for the "Two Step Verification" option on the left side. We can send codes via email (may be slower) or you can set up any TOTP Authenticator app on your phone (Authy, Google Authenticator, etc) to deliver codes. It is highly recommended that you configure this to keep your account safe.

Interesting, seems COMCAST does charge for internet usage. Must be spammers, movie pirates, etc that actually fill it up.

My Current Data Usage

Your Comcast High-Speed Internet service has a monthly data usage allowance of 250 gigabytes (GB). If you are wondering whether you are at risk of exceeding this 250GB threshold, you should know that the vast majority - around 99% - of Comcast customers use significantly less than 250GB per month.

Wha?
How can you pay 50-60+ a month for a "boosted" service (say 20mb/sec) and then be limited to 250gb/month without being forewarned? And doesn't their advertising say "unlimited usage"?

Internet... bandwidth... meh! A jedi craves not these things! :D

Actually, they do warn you the first time it happens. The second time, they try to collect some obscene amount from you. My neighbor was using more than 500GB a month for a couple of months. When they tried to charge him, he got fed up and switched to Fios.
