Since CoD4 seems to be rather popular around these parts, is there any interest in a little BuFer competition to see who can land the highest score for each of the single-player levels in arcade mode?

If so I'll edit this post as we go along to keep track of the top scores (and any new scoring rules we find). I've only done the first act and only went through each level once at that, so several of them I didn't even manage to finish. These initial scores should be easy to beat. :p

Arcade Mode Scoring
Each kill you get counts toward a streak. After a few kills your score multiplier goes up, and if you can keep the kills going quickly, it will continue to rise. The limit is 8x, which gives out crazy amounts of points. If you wait for too long between kills, your multiplier will reset to 1x. I'm not 100% sure yet, but I believe that if you continue to kill guys, it will stay at 8x indefinitely until it gets a chance to reset. At this point it plays a nice tune for you and says you completed your streak.

The game rewards you for both accuracy and "interesting" kills. To start, a hit gives 10 points, a kill 50/60, and a headshot 100. As the multiplier goes up, so do all of these. I'm not yet sure of all the point amounts, but in general, explosive kills give great point bonuses. So, killing an enemy with a vehakular explosion will net you big points. Shooting people out of helicoptors gives extra points as well. Basically, be creative and aim for the head and your score will skyrocket.

At the end of the round, bonuses come into play. Any remaining time will be converted to points in some manner I'm not yet certain of, so it's in your best interest to play through these levels as quickly as possible. Any lives left over give you an extra 1000 points apiece. Then the big bonuses come out and muliply your score by varying amounts. Zero deaths is 2x, and the difficulty at which you play gives 1.5x, 3x, and 4x for Regular, Hardened, and Veteran respectively.

If you're going to post a score, try and include a (cropped, if possible) screenshot of the mission select screen for verification. I know that takes time and it's kind of dumb, but it helps prevent random people from blurting out whatever they want. Yes, I realize pics can easily be doctored, so please don't be lame. This is supposed to be for fun.

You should also do best time for the training exercise at the beginning. I'll have to get a screenshot but I think my best time was around 13.5-13.7 seconds, can't remember exactly.

If you think I'll be up for this, the score is so retarded that blowing up vehicles is giving you extra points. Broadcast is a shinning example of this.

Wow... expendable is annoying. Your crew always get in your way and tend to steal your kills. This one can probably be bettered quite easily.

Dude, WTF is up with that Death from Above score? There's only a limited number of enemies on that map. D:

I finally beat Safehouse on hardened but the score wasn't that hot.
