Clubs-a-Go-Go

I now hit the ball longer, straighter, farther, faster, and higher; right into the woods or water.

But here’s the thing: the clubs are all numbered (well, sort of), and I don’t think that’s very personal. That’s why my plant is named Roy. I don’t want to reduce my clubs to a number. Golf clubs used to have names, but Ben Hogan came along and started numbering them.

Help me name my clubs. Below are the available clubs to assign names to, and here’s an example of how to name them:

there are 2s and 1s and i think even 0s. But i ain't got none of them. Those irons are difficult to hit.

It will take me awhile to learn all their names, except for Dr Wenis because I used to have 5 goldfish, all named Dr Wenis. I think I’ll either put the names on all the clubs or make a card with the names that I can carry in my pocket. Phfffft. Numbers on clubs; what’s the world coming to? Thanks, everybody!

Ok, after consulting with a PGA rules official, I’ve been told that having a club named after a girl in my bag is bad luck. Therefore, the sand wedge is now called Wiggles.

On a side note: it’s not bad luck to have a girl club if you’re a girl. That’s because the girls pretty much suck at golf no matter what. Even when they tee off on the lady’s tees like 120 yards ahead of you, they still need 3 shots to get up to your one shot that you made way back there…. 10 minutes ago. Of course, this is not a hard and fast rule, but just what I’ve noticed with ladies on the golf course.
