Can GPU cause sound lags?

  • Two Factor Authentication is now available on BeyondUnreal Forums. To configure it, visit your Profile and look for the "Two Step Verification" option on the left side. We can send codes via email (may be slower) or you can set up any TOTP Authenticator app on your phone (Authy, Google Authenticator, etc) to deliver codes. It is highly recommended that you configure this to keep your account safe.

Most of the games I play have occasional sound lags. It doesn't stop me from playing them but it's annoying nonetheless. The sound card is realtek onboard audio, which I had on other laptops and had no problem with. If GPU is indeed the cause, is it because it's relatively new and unstable?

Because everything on laptop is mostly integrated, it could be because of GPU (more likely because of GPU drivers). First thing to try out should be updating both sound and video drivers to see if it makes any difference.

Then try to kill every unnessecary background process (including startup items) because on average computer there's a lot of stuff back there that shouldn't be running at all.

And the problem will preserve when you disable its real-time component?
