Can anyone help? Unreal is way too dark in d3d...

  • Two Factor Authentication is now available on BeyondUnreal Forums. To configure it, visit your Profile and look for the "Two Step Verification" option on the left side. We can send codes via email (may be slower) or you can set up any TOTP Authenticator app on your phone (Authy, Google Authenticator, etc) to deliver codes. It is highly recommended that you configure this to keep your account safe.

I've got an intel i740 based card and it runs swell on all of my 3d based games with the exception of Unreal where it is too slow in software, has problems with opengl, and the direct3d is unusually dark even with the brightness set to maximum. It actually runs great in direct3d with the exception of this one problem. I have the latest patch 2.25f and just downloaded 2.26a ( though I'm hesitant to install it cuz it's a beta w/ some questionable bugginess ). I'd really appreciate any help in solving this problem. thanks!!!

It that wont fix the problem, install the latest windows costumer pack (=upgrade). It worked for me and I use win98.
Download it with the windows updater.
