In the USA you will go to jail longer for drugs, then killing some one.

PS. The cops need to justafy (spelling) the money they get from the States, by showing all the arrests for drugs...Aresting people doing drugs is 100% safer (to the cops) then aressting some one beating up their wife.

i've heard of plenty of people being put on death row for murder, but never for drugs, so I don't know what you are talking about.

Anyways, they say marijuana is just like beer, but let's be honest here. When people smoke pot, they want to get high and stoned out of their minds. However, when most people grab a cold one, they don't have intentions of waking up in front of the toilet.

Why don't you be honest and admit that you base these statements on absolutely nothing but the behavior of yourself and friends.

And no offense to you bro, but that has got to be one of the most ignorant statements I've ever heard. I know tons more people, least around here, that get home from work and don't stop drinking til' they go to sleep. It's not fun going into work and being able to tell what people had to drink the night before. ;) At least among my personal friends that smoke, we are all what you would call the "casual" smoker. In fact.. pretty much everyone I know who smokes could fit into that label.

There's a difference between someone who is responsible and one who isn't wether it's drinking OR smoking. Same rules apply. Know your limits, know when to say when (specially if driving) and be SMART about it.

In Anaemics case, leaving paraphenalia (man did I even spell that right) around, even baggies and such, is totally irresponsible. It's like leaving empty beer cans behind your car seat, you are just asking for it.

Oh and marijuana DOES make you stupid. Anyone who says they are "smarter" WHEN STONED is lying. (Wait a minute.. maybe I should be careful with those broad generalizations like that... look at all the trouble it started in the SW thread  ) In my post above I was referring to the people who are stupid already... and smoking really doesn't help them. Some people just become more impaired than others in the mental acumen department when high.

It's like those anti-drug commercials where you see the teen girl babysitting and her friend comes over and they smoke. Next thing you know he is saying "hey this is boring, lets get out of here," and they leave... while you hear the baby crying in the backround.

I'm sorry but I've smoked some really... REALLY good sh!t in my time and i've never had my judgment inpaired THAT badly, nor has anyone else I've known.

Situations like that are caused by STUPID IRRESPONSIBLE PEOPLE, not smart people who puffed some tweeds. Thats pretty much what I was trying to say in the Adam Corrolla quote as well. :) I'd literally be paranoid as hell going out and knowing people like that could easily get shweedle from a corner store.

Whether the law is right or wrong, it’s still the law. If you choose to break the law you should be prepared for the consequences.

Sorry, but I have no sympathy.

That is up to you. The fact still stands that you'll be facing the charges of that law if you choose to break it.

Hey Xipher. Iowa native or transplant? (I'm the latter) That drug tax is pretty freakin' funny. I have heard of a guy that actually does buy those tax stamps.

I've gotta say that it would pretty much suck to be anaemic right now, but he was breaking the law. Whether he feels it's a just law or not, it is still the law. I don't smoke myself (never have), and probably wouldn't if it was legalized (*cough cough wheeze hack*"good ****, man!"*wheeze cough*), but that doesn't mean I think it shouldn't be legalized.
But if it is legalized, at what age can you legally smoke it? Should it be age 21 like alcohol (in the USA anyhow), or 18 like cigarettes? I'm pretty sure it would be heavily regulated, like booze, and think those who sell out of their homes should be treated like moonshiners/bootleggers. But then how big of a backyard crop would it take to prove intent to sell?
Um, why is everyone so concerned about idiots buying pot legally and then driving? Those same idiots are probably already out there driving with an open bottle of J.D. between their legs.
Final question(s): How come the only people interested in legallizing industrial hemp are potheads? Are you just trying to hide your wacky weed inside a legitimate crop? naughty naughty

well it looks like im home free.

my friend whoes room we were smoking in was due at the police station today, he tells me he turned up (and was driven to a larger station with better facilities) and has officially been double cautioned (once for possession, once for knowingly alowing illicit activity on his property) this leaves him with a grand total of 3 cautions for drugs offenses in his lifetime, meaning if he ****s up again he is royally shafted, but for now all he has been given is a warning which will be removed from his "public" record in 3 years.

now as all of us present were up for the same charge of possession this means that i personally will only get a caution too :) (so long as i dont act like a complete jackass) the police told him to ask the rest of us to head down to the station tomorrow lunchtimeish.

huge huge gigantic weight off my shoulders, ive been so nervous these last few days i feel absolutely exhausted.

thanks for all the support from everyone. im a free man again :)

oh and yeah i think im probably going to avoid smoking the 'erb for at least a little while now, this experience has taught me one vital life lesson, and that is to do drugs that you can ingest really quickly to reduce chances of being caught in posession.

You can say you're addicted and get help.
thats worse than jail in some cases. friend of mine got busted, said he would rather goto counseling than prison. he now has counseling for 2 years, on probation for around 3 years, has random drug tests, can't smoke drink or do anything... pretty much sucks, but it does beat prison...................
