BSOD

  • Two Factor Authentication is now available on BeyondUnreal Forums. To configure it, visit your Profile and look for the "Two Step Verification" option on the left side. We can send codes via email (may be slower) or you can set up any TOTP Authenticator app on your phone (Authy, Google Authenticator, etc) to deliver codes. It is highly recommended that you configure this to keep your account safe.

ahhh... Damn!

I finally get UT and do a full install and what do I get when I try to run it. A BSOD! It says it runs under NT and the demo ran fine. Anyone know what's up? It won't even start. The screen goes black and the the blue screen. I hope some one can help. And yes I've tried reinstalling and using Safe mode. /~unreal/ubb/html/frown.gif

I figured out what the problem was. The CD check program "SafeDisc" or whatever it is was giving me the BSOD. I just downloaded one of those game-cracks to disable the CD-check everyone has been talking about to make their D3D work correctly and went with it and everythings been peachy since.

I tried the GTinteractive tech support and those people are complete idiots. I sent in my specs told them I had the latest drivers on everything and was running NT4. They sent back get the latest drivers and do all this win95 specific tweaking. I was like did you even read my specs? Oh well at least I've got the game running to take my frustrations out on. /~unreal/ubb/html/smile.gif
