I am looking for mappers for the UT2004 mod BloodPit.

ill start with a quick description of the mod.

BloodPit is essentially Sumo wrestling over a deadly pit... but rather than "wresting", players hit eachother with highly modified Shield guns.

Its a Team Deathmatch style game, where the objective is to kill the other team's players. and you can do so in 4 basic ways - 1: the most common, is simply knocking your opponent into the pit... though when two skilled players are playing, it isn't so simple. 2: by stomping on a players head, you deal 50 damage... so a couple stomps and they are dead... though it can be tough to land on soemoene when they are dodging all around. 3: juggling a player in the air with your gun 3 times causes an instant kill 4: each hit with the gun does a small amount of damage, so if a fight goes on long enough, someone's gonna run out of health ;)

players also have 4 jumps, and can use the multi-jumps at any point (not only at the peak of their jump), aswell as infinite wall dodging

If you are interested in mapping for BloodPit, either post here (be sure to give your email adress, or some other way i can contact you), jump in the BloodPit IRC channel, or email me at blaaguuu@comcast.net

I am looking for experienced mappers. preferably with a publically released map that i can see.
While I am not requiring professional quality material, I do want a certain level of quality in the maps ;)

You can also find BloodPit's forums at http://www.dbcenter.org/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=26
and our irc channel is irc://irc.gamesurge.net/bloodpit

...First saw the topic of this thread, and immediately thought "Gladiators, hell yuss."

Um... while simplistic and

...Had something to say there. Accursed ADHD. ><;

Anyway.

While... this does sound like a new and (mostly) original idea...

...no idea how to word this. So I'll get to the point.

It seems too limited. If I may make a suggestion, perhaps go for a gladiator-type game (haven't really seen one of those around yet) with maybe a somewhat RPG methods (to allow players to customize their guys) and keep the levels 1 vs 1 over a pit of some sort, like you were talking about.
