How about the multitude of bogus registrations that have been occurring on these boards for the past years?

All these new users are just email dumpers (probably for phishing and scamming purposes, as well as indexing for SEO).

I don't suppose it's worth an admin's time to clean up these non-users of the boards.

If registration was closed (or changed to a two factor verification, or something) would it help?

Stay safe all you real BU people.

Phishers, scammers and email trolls can sod off....

O.k. we all know these forums are pretty dead and have been for a long time ( and we all know why that happened) but do we really want them to be a bot launcher for dark web creeps?

C'mon admins. how about just shutting down registrations altogether, at least until things can get cleaned up. There would be no loss if that happened.
