Benchmarking UT

  • Two Factor Authentication is now available on BeyondUnreal Forums. To configure it, visit your Profile and look for the "Two Step Verification" option on the left side. We can send codes via email (may be slower) or you can set up any TOTP Authenticator app on your phone (Authy, Google Authenticator, etc) to deliver codes. It is highly recommended that you configure this to keep your account safe.

I have just installed UT and would like to compare my system performance to other posted results I have seen on UT Forums. I have looked back over old posted Threads but haven't found how to time a demo (as in quake 1,2,3(I can find the FPS but not the average:( )). What is the console command to run and time a demo? timedemo 1

after you're finished benchmarking (demo runs through), go back to the console and it should say something to the effect of:

x frames rendered in x seconds. x avg. x min. x max.

the "preferred" way of benchmarking UT is this:

1) open your console
2) type 'timedemo 1'
3) type 'open cityintro?game=botpack.utintro'
4) let it run through twice and there shoudl be two lines of fps readings in your console.. that's your benchmark
