Basic MapVote Question...

Hey folks, I just started this UT2004 server and I haven't touched UT2004 in several years. I set up the MapVote that comes in game with UT2004 but I'm not liking it and recall using a different version years back when I last ran a UT2004 server. I just found a MapVote program called UT2Vote version 5.9 and I think a previous version of it is what I used to use back then. Does anybody know what most admins are using and why they prefer it these days?

I don't want to go and set this one all up to find out it is an older than the latest release and/or that everybody is liking some other MapVote that I have never heard of. Please give me your opinion. Thanks!

Use Mapmixer though. It's not a Map vote mod so it's not what you're looking for but it will do pretty much anything else you need to do while in-game. Change maps on the fly, create map lists, add and remove bots, etc.

People won't boycott your server for a map vote mutator. As long as they can vote for the only 3 maps they know, it should be fine.

I never liked the custom ones. You could try posting at unrealadmin.org. Dunno which forum is still more active. This one doesn't seem so much.

Is it a gui? That sounds like all stuff you can do with the console, if you know the commands and have admin.

Thanks folks! I was looking on line and asking around today and ended up grabbing and installing UT2Vote59. It is pretty awesome. I struggled at first but it worked out in the end I think. Peace!
