  • Two Factor Authentication is now available on BeyondUnreal Forums. To configure it, visit your Profile and look for the "Two Step Verification" option on the left side. We can send codes via email (may be slower) or you can set up any TOTP Authenticator app on your phone (Authy, Google Authenticator, etc) to deliver codes. It is highly recommended that you configure this to keep your account safe.

E-mail viruses are *generally* not that bad. I've never had luck with any paid anti-viruses (yes you norton and your PoS!). Spybot S&D, Malware Bytes, and a good ol Live CD gets 95% a good majority of the viruses out there off.

Reformatting is a pretty big step, dont jump to conclusions about reinstalling, try Safe Mode first, then if its on there use a Live CD with a pretty recent AV database on it (Pretty sure Hirens has AV on it, along with Super Windows and Win PE boots)

Opening an email does nothing harmful. It's the clicking of suspicious links or opening suspicious attachments in your emails that you have to watch out for.
