Well...lemme see.

My parents think up so much **** to limit me from doing stuff on the computer...I'm lucky if I can get an hour anymore the way its looking now. They have no idea how important this stuff is to me...I don't even think they give a **** because its a "game". They don't know I have work that goes along with the "game".

They got pissed off at me yesterday because I woke up and went right to the computer to frag a little with Lurk.

My mom is so damn annoying anymore I don't know how much longer I can take it. Who knows...it might go to the point where I won't be around for a very long time.

We'll see what happens.

BC, you gotta pace yourself. Do the errands your parents want you to do first, then get on the comp. If your work is all done, then they can't really complain. Every parent hates hearing their kid say "I will Mom (or Dad), right after this game." They can get a little peeved that you care more about your duty to a "game" than your duty to your family.

Wha?
Girlfriends hate that too, so there's a life lesson for ya. :lol:

On a serious note tho;
The biggest problem I've had (being a computer geek), is that people who don't enjoy it as much as I do, tend not to understand.
You should try and take the time to explain to them how much this means to you, what you are willing to put into it, and try to work something out with them as far as time online/gaming/working.

Parents are just as stubborn as their kids, I know... so are girlfriends... but if ya love em, and they love you... then something can be worked out.
You might have to give a little... but what you get in return (in the long run) will be far more important to you.

On a less serious note;

We could pass around a petition!! ;)

Well thanks for the tips guys...but they did decide that I have to spend less time on the computer..so I simply told them...we should do more stuff as a family then. And then all of a sudden we decide to go fly model rockets today w00t! Lost a couple :-/ One even dissappeared into the clouds and never saw it again.

I'll still be around...just not nearly as much. I got some pics from my vacation btw...will post when I get a chance.

Later,

BC

Wife's fall into this category. I explained to her how much I enjoy playing online with you all. I told her we are like a bowling team except we don't meet after bowling and get drunk. I also spend way to much time in the forums (So Many Of them) but she understands that I contribute and help others. I still spend quality time with her on weekends when we can.

BC- Work it out and Steel is right. Family is more important then games but you can explain to them how much money you will make by creating maps. You have to play all maps to keep up with the latest gimmicks. 15 yr old map maker rocks. Just do your chores and spend time with them first it will work out.
