Automatic thread subscription

I can't seem to find the checkbox for this in my control panel. Whenever I make a thread, or even just post in one, I get automatically subscribed to it and then get spammed on my email address any time someone adds another post to that thread. How can I disable this?

user cp -> settings and options -> edit options -> messaging and notification -> Default Thread Subscription Mode -> "do not subscribe" or "no email notification"

Do you get one email for each new post or just one email regardless of number of posts added

I get an email for each new post. But hopefully not any more!

Weird... you're supposed to only get a single email for the first new reply until you revisit the forum
