I'd like to suggest, if possible, some way of auto-locking a thread once it's been inactive for a certain length of time (say 1 year with no posts). This would prevent necro posting, which has been happening a lot in the UT section at the moment, and has happened in other areas before as well.
If anyone has anything constructive to add to an old thread, they can always request a mod unlock it, or post a new thread and link to the old one, to show they are continuing from that. This would help avoid a lot of confusion when people bump old threads, with no real constructive reason to do so.
