Argh!! Noooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Two Factor Authentication is now available on BeyondUnreal Forums. To configure it, visit your Profile and look for the "Two Step Verification" option on the left side. We can send codes via email (may be slower) or you can set up any TOTP Authenticator app on your phone (Authy, Google Authenticator, etc) to deliver codes. It is highly recommended that you configure this to keep your account safe.

I went to load up infiltration on my pc and then it crashed on me then it had an error where it said it couldn't load and when I went to my UT folder it wasn't there! Like it deleted by itself or something, I know this sounds like BS, but its not, it's 100% the truth! It actually happened!! Aw man! I don't want to d/l all that crap again!

Yeah inf sometimes do that. Like the cache that empty itself after a couple of days. I think there something in infiltration.ini

self_destruct_delay = 20

change it to 0 if you do not want it to self destruct

listen to crac, (but only this once ;)) and start threads like this in 'troubleshooting'
it’s there for a reason.
use it.

or die. :p

but to address your problem,
you say the whole UT directory is 'gone'?

if your INF install was on a FAT partition and particularly if you are running windows 9x, the #1 thing you should do is search every partition for 'infiltration.exe' or some other unique file that would be in the missing directory.

if you were using FAT32 or similar there is a good chance that the file system mishandled a bunch of crap (usually because the user improperly shut down the machine, ie: just pulled the plug) and seemingly picked up your INF and moved it to some dusty corner of the drive.

If you can locate it, you should be able to simply move it back.

There are also good harddisk recovery tools available that could help. I'll post a name once I'm home

Edit: I remember:

A good tool's name is 'Easy Recovery Deluxe', only the demo is quite pointless, since it will work on your harddisk for hours only to give a list of files which it could have safed if you had the full version ;)

all of UT or just INF, either way, did you search for Infiltration.exe?
didyoulook.gif

until you say *yes I found it* or *no the search turned up nothing* the troubleshooting cannot continue.

Why on earth do you have your Windows partitions labelled as if they were Linux partitions?

Currently my Infiltration folder is 1.5GB. I think you're going to have to download the whole thing again, because if it is gone, there's no other way of getting it back.
