If any one is interested in the 226a patch for unreal, I found it using Google.com:

or a Direct link..: http://kaktus.punkt.pl/incoming/files/patche/unreal_2.26a/unrealpatch226a.exe
This patch is incredible! Everyone having trouble with performance with unreal 1 should try this patch out! All-versions of Unreal, through 225f, were practically unplayable for me ever sense I installed my GeForce256-DDR. But the 226a patch cured my trouble, now I play Unreal at 1280x1024x32 @ 40 FPS!!! Before I could only run in low resolutions to even close to that rate! I think it was UN-optimized texture management that killed my frame rate, in the 225f patch.
The funny thing is that Unreal Tournament always has run beautifully. (even at high resolutions )
I have a Creative Labs Annihilator Pro running with the 5.08 drivers on the MSI MS-6119 motherboard. My processor is a Slot 1 Celeron 333A. I also have 128MB ram.
