Any new maps on the way??

  • Two Factor Authentication is now available on BeyondUnreal Forums. To configure it, visit your Profile and look for the "Two Step Verification" option on the left side. We can send codes via email (may be slower) or you can set up any TOTP Authenticator app on your phone (Authy, Google Authenticator, etc) to deliver codes. I hope some are comming soon. I love INF, and the best maps i've ever seen for a game come from you guys. So work hard so send those maps out so lazy bastards like me can play them. It's been like 2 week since i've seen and thing new-usually a new one or two comes out every 3 or 4 days.

Anyhow, you guys do a great job, and i'm looking forward to playing some kicka$$ levels.

You know the joke "more people mapping for Unreal than playing Unreal online"? UnEd is very easy and fast to use, even a newbie can make a unreal map.

Yes! My House Assault map version 2 is comming soon (2-3 days?). It is larger and better scaled than the fist one, with better weapon placement. Should hold quite a few players.

Your house assault map is great. good tight and quick rounds.

One thing use a skybox in the next one with a cloud zone so you can lob grenades onto the roof without them hitting the sky(ceiling) and detonating.

Oh yes, a sky box will definetly be in order. I didn't bother with the first one decasue during play testing most of the action was in or imediatly around the house, no one even noticed thwe sky unless they were on the roof, so I didn't think it was important. I know better now after making a few other maps for Unreal - a sky box is good!

Not much special stuff in it. It's just a house, maybe a water zone or two. 1/2 opened windows you can shoot though. Do you think I need special zones? Suggestions accepted!

What about breakable glasses in the windows? And IMO water zones are s'*'YYY'*MHHNTRSH...not good!

It is kind of hard to say something smart, before I can rip it open.

Based upon my expectations: the usual speed zones, cloud zone(s), stuff to trash, toggle triggered doors, use semisolids.

How and where should you use cloud zones, in the actual play area or in the skybox.

Also, Billdog, have you ever released a map, I would be interested to see one, since you all too often enjoy screwing around with other peoples work. Let's see some of yours.

Cloud zones swallow it all, players projectiles and monsters. It is the ultimate kill zone, and very useful to use above outside play areas. If you want the fake backdrop to work perfect use a cloud zone.

My maps is a sad story. I'm to much of an perfectionist to be able to do it by myself. Patching and supervising is the only things within my grasp. /infopop/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

If you feel I screw around, you have my apology. If you like it however just ask me to take a look (maybe I already did).

By the way Raekwon the 2 errors (I know): Hall of mirror effect in the windows is caused by your own sheets, just look I didn't even place a zone portals. The zoneportal near the door is probably causing it to be transparent, try moveing it a bit back (and rebuild).
