any good 1 on 1 maps?

I'd love to get my buddy playing this with me either on a lan or even online (we live pretty close)

Any good 1 on 1 maps or small enough ones that we could have some good matches without taking a day and a half to find each other?

There are lots of smaller maps. A few I can think of:

DM-INF-MWH
DM-INF-MovingDayMassacre
DM-INF-ModernGladiator
DM-INF-Flagstaff
DM-INF-RealWorldGoneBad

For EAS try:

EAS-INF-Ruin
EAS-INF-ArabOutpost

I am sure there are many more. Perhaps someone else can suggest some as well.

Here you go.
Some maps are too big for a 1 on 1, but you have to try them out.
For a real small map try DM-Tyard.
Some good which weren't mentioned are DM-Nam, Sunsetexpress, Traitorsgate (maybe a bit too big, but I think it should work), DM-INF-Beached and maybe even DM-INF-Panzer(2) would work on a 1 on 1.
Bullecourt, Bagdadi (for this you need mutators to remove SniperActors and then simply add EAS-INF-Bagdadi to the cylce, over your ini file) ...
There was once a christmaps-pack with maps like DM-INF-Xmas, there were some.

It is by no means small, but it is hella fun. Best played at around 1:00a.m. in the dark with headphones. Scary ****, and you actually get to use your camo.

1 on 1 sniper match - Bordertown.

Uhh... Bordertown? That's not a terribly good idea.

A good 1v1 sniper map is Kosovo Night, especially when you both spawn on opposite sides of the river. My brother and I played that quite a few times, and it led to some rather tense matches. The map also works for one on many.

Another good, smaller, 1v1 map is Chiller. Sublime and I used to play that one quite a bit. I have yet to shoot him out of the damned frozen pool in front of the house, no matter how many times I've tried.

And to toot my own horn, I may suggest Bunkers. It's a copy of the Rogue Spear level which provides some really intense and quick 1v1 matches. The map is really simple so you'll learn it very quickly, but it has a lot of strategy with a small number of players. Play this one on DM, not TDM, though, to make sure that you spawn all over the map. I've seriously put more time in on this map on private LANs against one other person than any other map (between Rogue Spear and my Inf copy).

Funkers or something like this was a name for a map "similar" to Bunkers, this one also works with two players.
