Still no joy on the pic.. Anyhow, I saw an image in an article relating to the use of the then new "body bunker". (Large pavise like shield, used by police) Many have a slot cut in them, where a thick block of bullet resistant glass is fitted.
The image showed the user of said shield, with his right arm crooked around it, the edge of the shield nestled in the crook of the user's arm. The pistol appeared to be a 220 series SiG of some kind, with an early visible light laser. The text indicated that when the shield is held centered across the body, that the only way the user could bring his weapon to bear was by holding the piece horizontally, and looking through the slot, engage the laser, then fire.
I'll make the assumption that the laser was sighted in for this horizontal hold.
