Looks interesting... however, I would try to enforce focus to a certain area, either his chest or his legs, by means of brightness or color contrast, if you know what I mean? If it's too spread out over the whole model, it will look uninteresting... Try to catch the viewer's eye with an area that stands out, and have the rest compliment that. Um, somehow. I think I read that somewhere :)

I prefer the yellow one, allthough they both have bits that are better than the others.

The only complaint is the stripes, not so much that they look bad, just that it would look better if it was just one plain colour with shading. More uniform, less noisy.

Either way it shows good technical skill, nice work.

Looks ok to me..but u can do lots of things to them.:D
(I kno, i not really making it any easier for U, sorry.)

:) Okey, i have an idea u can try take the middle pieces from the shoulder pads
add half of it across the black feet's and maybe add some more to the sides but
not all the way keep the wrist/feet black..try that and see if its cool ;)

Whoa, replies. I need to set up my e-mail notification :)

hmmm. No stripes? Maybe would be better to ditch them, after all, looks kinda ganky on a mirrored uvw map. :)

BBS with another couple of shots. :)

The way i see it, there are 2 aspects to a finished skin. Technical detail, and overall look. A skin can be jammed with detail, but the overall look can be off, or it can be a very low detal skin, but it looks like it fits.

You obviously have the technical detail side down fairly well, but now you have to work on giving your skins a more overall uniform look. For example, if you take the yellow one, were you to take some of the silver areas, and make them black (shoulderpads, forearms/elbow area), it would go a long way to improoving its overall look. As allthough the silver is nice, its very strong contrast, so to much of it can look a bit noisy.

Anyway like i said, its still a lovely skin, im just trying to help you perfect it :D

I kinda messed around with making the red skin animated, got that working fine, but actually getting around to finishing it... Ah... Who knows?

I got a male soldier skin in the works that's looking less dubious. :)
