  • Two Factor Authentication is now available on BeyondUnreal Forums. To configure it, visit your Profile and look for the "Two Step Verification" option on the left side. Sorry for the bad pings on GD4 the last couple of days. Apprantly now it should be fixed since the machine running GD4 will be on its own dedicated T1 line alone now. Please make sure you DL all the maps before joining which can be found in a thread on our ghsot dog message board here. If you are still experiencing problems please inform us. We will also be upgrading the machine the server runs on soon so you can expect even better performance. Either way we plan to keep GD4 around for a long time and it will hopefully be a place of epic battles when 2.90 is released. Looking forward to seeing you all there! :)

Two bits to reply to that. I've done two optimizations to the machine since it first 'opened'. One, I've modified the thread status so the server should focus better on the game instead of my daily work which I have to do on the same box from 9-5, monday through friday Pacific Time. Second, as NTKB said, the server is now plugged into it's own port in the wall. It was behind a hub before, one that serviced 8 different computers. Since the server was never maxed out before when people were playing (ie, the processor usage never reached 100% ) I have a strong feeling that the hub was a major hurdle and the pingspikes should now not happen as much.

As far as upgrading the box, I am looking into getting an athlonXP setup. I have about $200 I can spend. Since I only need ram, mobo, and chip, I think I'll be able to swing it. That way, I'll be able to work more confidently that what I do while on the box won't interfere with games going on :)

Am I the only one that thinks this is a little too much? There are 4 very recent threads, all about the GD servers in General right now. Maybe a mod should do some merging.

:rolleyes: *bows down* I apologize sir for the dramatic display of ineptness in posting so many threads recently. I apologize that I made such an erroneous decision to try and promote playing Infiltration on a new server. Forgive me sir. ;)

Edit: btw its only 2 threads regarding GD4. I think you just dont like my name on the message board.

Almost is right, you can consolodate those threads. It makes it better, you'd get more players since people are lazy and don't want to read so many different threads.

TWO OF THOSE THREADS ARE NOT EVEN RELATED TO PROMOTING GD4 AND THEY WERE POSTED ON GENERAL FORUM BECAUSE THE OTHER FORUMS ARENT WORKING. Jesus christ read what you are typing before you post it.

As for you Ice get out of my threads. If you see the name {GD}NTKB as the author ignore it.

Oh. I didn't realize we were flaming eachother here. I MIGHT HAVE TO START USING CAPS TO GET MY POINT THROUGH. But I won't. It's obvious that other people's opinion don't mean crap to you anyway. So screw it.

I still don't like spam and now I don't care much for you either. Four different threads is still too much in my opinion. Yelling, screaming and going ballistic over something as petty as this makes me think you you should look into taking a crash course in anger management. Thanks.

Snake, then why not make it "GD's Sever forum?" The way its going that's what it would be.

I think its time you reviewed what forums are for. You make posts in a thread based on a common topic. You try to keep the number of repeat threads down so that people don't need to go looking all over kingdom come for answers. The common topic in these threads is "Gd Server." Why not organize them all?

If you want life in these stagnant forums, as you put it, spamming multiple threads for one server that could be merged is not one of the best ways to encourage it.

Your opinion doesnt mean crap. Not other ppls. Maybe if you werent such an ass it would. But you come into this thread whining and crying like a little POS troll instead of just PMing an Admin to merge the threads. You put your own neck out now eat the ****in bill. No. I will not keep my troubleshooting, server maps, and server info to one thread. They are all seperate topics and deserve individual discussion. Perhaps the fixed ping thread could be merged with the GD4 announcement thread but thats it. This is the THIRD time im explaining this. I thought Kindergarten was mandatory nowadays.

They are all NOT seperate topics. As you can see, this is the Infiltration general forum, not the Infiltration GD server post what you want forum. AFA can confine their antics to one thread. Why cannot GD? Is it too important? Or is it just too much of a bother to open up another post topic page? You're getting too specific. I could put down that every time a new gun is suggested in a weapons thread theat they could be new posts since they are all different topics and deserve individual discussion. You've provided the rope to hang yourself with in this one, NT.

Yeah, I really came into this thread like a troll. Give it a rest. I suggest you take a deep breath and you might see that there's actually some sense in what Ice and myself has pointed out. But I'll leave you and your rage alone now. I'm "eating the ****ing bill" and I'm so scared of you.
