it has always sucked.
Too many dramatic shots.
STOP IT with the damn back story on every single damned character. *giugen epic fight....* "Wait! before you do the uber, wtfpwnbbq move and we fight for 30 more seconds, let me spend an entire season telling you about my past! even though it has no relevance to the current story at all!
Lets spend 45 seconds walking/running/jumping/etc with dramatic music, no dialog and close up shots of how determined everyone looks!
Lets examine this evidence... "ZOMG! you mean it came from that guy!" /inc half an episode of flash backs to the episode that aired last week.
south park had it all wrong when they tried to make fun of anime. It was supposed to be 15 episodes. Each episode a back story on the main character with the final episode a final battle. But the final battle when condensed is only 90 seconds long. It only seemed epic because the final boss guy had to have is say in it and make sure everyone knew about that time he spent 10 years in a basement, alone, to develop this BBQPWN machine that never gets used because it was smashed off screen. BUT WAIT! another bonus episode next week! this one shows how it was destroyed, and re-airs the scenes of how the boss guy was locked up, alone in the basement, to re-tell his story all over again!
FUN FOR ALL!
