On second thought, if you are talking about your ribbon cables to HD and Fd and Cd, hell. I've had all of those on backwards many times and never fried anything yet. I think the only ones that were bad that way were some of the old IBM's that had the power going on the ribbon cable.

It takes real effort to damage a computer.
I've built a least a dozen systems, and have
yet to do anything that damaged any part of
one.
I've connected cables backwards. I've built
them on the carpet on the living room floor.
I even once hooked up the motherboard power
cable(s) backward (AT)...no permanet damage,
just swapped 'em back, and everything worked
fine.
Like I said it takes conciderable effort to
screw things up so badly that you actually
fry something.
Aviation Maintenance rule: Don't let the smoke out of the box. Nothing works well once

Uffa... I built several systems myself and it was quite a hassle the first coupla times.. the only problems I have are not with hardware installations, as those are the easy part. Getting Windows 98 to work with the system is the hard part.... /~unreal/ubb/html/smile.gif
