Just got my new Asus GeForce Delux with stereo glasses. Benchmarks show it close to the Prophet DDR. Can't wait to get home and try her out. If your inetrested I will post some Benchmarks. Sky

Two Factor Authentication is now available on BeyondUnreal Forums. To configure it, visit your Profile and look for the "Two Step Verification" option on the left side. Ah so we have it. You stab at me because I don't have a Voodoo card to play Ut on. WRONG!!!! You make such immature half attempts to make me feel inferior. Let me enlighten you. I have 2 computers running Voodoo 3000 as I type. One is at home one is at work. I have two other machines at home one, which has a TNT 2 Ultra the other, now, has a Geforce nestled in it. I have not tried to load UT on the GeForce because as you so eloquently stated.” Voodoo 3000 rocks for UT." I know that. I just like having the latest and greatest stuff. So if your posts were an attempt to make me feel bad because I didn't have a Voodoo card oh well sucks to be you because I HAVE 2. If I might add that there are many other games out there and they (If you will indulge me) ROCK @ss on the Geforce but look and perform like dukie on the Voodoo. So again it SUCKS TO BE YOU PEASENT!!!!!!!!

Point well taken. However... to say that I am dumb (If I bought a Geforce and only played UT.) Is a mighty assumption. UT looks drop dead beautiful on a TNT2 1024x768 32. The problem is that I hear it is prone to crash with some people. If you will look at my origional post and READ WHAT IT SAYS!!!! You will see that It didn't merit your Kinda sucks to be you post. That is what set me off. There are people here who might be interested in the GeForce but now because of the flame squad will not dare post asking me how it performs. That's ok because they can read the reviews. Oh and Wiz4ha I picked the Asus because like I said it benches right below the Prophet with DDR. sorry. what i meant by dumb, was from a monetary standpoint. i guess being a budget gamer im used to picking up only the best deals/bang for the buck items. the v3 is one of them and the GeForce is not. i think looking quickly in the Troubleshooting section (and elsewhere on this board) that way too many people are have problems/complaining about UT on their brand new $300 GeForce cards.
in other games, like q3, i will not for one second dispute that the GeForce rules, and i never did. i still dont think its worth the exorbitant price tag right now, but thats just me.

And I must say that insomuch as playing UT or any game the Voodoo 3000 is an awesome card with no compatability issues that I have seen. Why else would I have 2 of them and only one Geforce and one TNT2. I was just excited about the new card comming and all. IF by the way you like flight simms The GeForce is unbelievable at how quick it handles view changes seeing it is a GPU and all. When it comes right down to it for online play I have broadband at work and a Voodoo 3000 in my AGP slot because when shot comes to shot I don't need lockups and hangs /~unreal/ubb/html/smile.gif.
what will be huge, is the next generation GeForce's (or whatever they will be called). by that time more companies will have worked T&L into their games and the card should really fly. i cant wait to see the battle between next gen GeForce and the Voodoo5's.
I read in a magazine over here in the UK that an American Company is planning to release a Voodoo 5 Chip with 42 of those little silicone blocks on!!!!!!! YES 42.
As you know the standard is quad chips.

Actually AMD Athlon outperforms the Coppermine chip in a high # of ways one of the most exceptional is the fact that the Coppermine has a predicted max. bus speed of 166Mhz based on current artecture, were as the Athlon presently has a 200Mhz bus speed and is estimated to max out at 500Mhz based on current arkitecture. Forgive me I can't spell worth a @#$@#@$#$ crap.
Well I did it. I said what the heck and installed UT on my GeForce System. No hangs no freazes. What a relief.
