Well, I already posted that yesterday, but somehow it wasn't on the board today - if you deleted it please tell me.
I experience some slight surreal ammo wandering - to be exact:
When I pick up a weapon(say M16) it has 30 rounds(30 ready - 29 in the mag, 1 in the chamber);
As soon as I pick up another mag for this weapon, without using the weapon, I suddenly have 31 rounds(of 60) ready(30 in the mag, 1 in the chamber) WITHOUT reloading!
Same works for a Robar I picked up from a dead bot, which had 3 rounds, but when I grabbed six more rounds from another dead bot, the robar was loaded with 6 rounds(once again without reloading)
Another thing I rather dislike is the fact, that one can change mags every three shots (lets say twelve times or so)and still have a full 30-round mag every time(a M16 usually has 5 mags maximum) - how do the additional rounds come into the mag?(maybe some little men/women inside the backpack..)
For being honest - I even preferred the 2.6 system of losing ammo when one changed a half-emptied mag - at least it seems more realistic to me than grabbing full mags out of nowhere.
The perfect system would be to somehow let the game remember the round in each mag - and when a full mag is picked up, the least filled mag would be thrown away - with losing the ammo inside, of course.
By the way:
Will the remaining rounds be shown on the HUD in 3.0 - helped a little bit for tactic. I don't use to count the rounds left, would be too confusing for six to seven weapons..
Well, enough for now
