A sad day for Quebec's gamers...

This suxors... A law as been passed in Quebec that forces game stores to remove from thier shelves ALL the games that don't have french instructions

What this means is that there is going to be a game shortage in Quebec since only a few compagnies make french instruction manuals.

This also means that if Epic doesn't make a french manual for UT2K4, I won't be able to get it.(At least in Quebec)

Well screw them... I'll just spend my money in another province or country.

Quebec sucks.

Ya know, I have to laugh about this (tho I know it's not funny), because last night I saw (parts of) a movie called Canadian Bacon...
In the middle of the movie, Dan Akroyd pulls over John Candy and crew for having graphitti on the side of their truck stating that Canada sux, etc.
After pulling them over, he mentions a law that requires all signs to be in both english and french, as both languages are the country's main language.

I never thought I would see a mandate passed about gaming manuals, tho...

that law exist for evry product sold in QC. So if you buy a chair in a IKEA store they're must be a french instruction to build the F***er lol

Anyway i have a french version of Ut2003 so it probably going to have a french version of ut2004 for sure Dev

What if the Manuals are Downloadable in French wouldn't that count?? Most all products sold now comes with 3 languages. I don't see why UT would be any different if its a law stating it has to be. BTW if worse comes to worse I will mail you a copy in a plain brown envelope. It will say Happy Birthday..
