When we export a car (animation and static mesh export) the static mesh is set to a different location.

The static mesh needs to serve as car collision and for some reason, although the 3D max model is at 0,0 in 3D max on exporting the static mesh isnt in the right location anymore resulting in collision at wrong place when we use the static mesh in 3D max as collision model for the exported animation.

Has anyone got an idea what the problem could be or had a similar problem before ?

Are you rotating the static mesh version by 180ยบ on the z axis before exporting? If not, you should be as it's necessary for the collision model to be in the right orientation.
