Of interest to those not able to read French is a lighting tutorial by noted level author, Gui, that was recently translated to English. The article is aimed toward UT2004 level designers, the theory applies to all.

Although this was written for UT2003 and UT2004, the first part of this tutorial presents fundamental theories about the lighting in general but also the necessity of contrasts and how to use complementary colors in order to get these, as well as some other tips: these informations are usefull for any wannabe artists, whatever software they use, 2D or 3D but also web or print. The rest of the tutorial presents in depth study of official maps in order to explain the "how and why" their lighting was done this way instead of another, and this reading is also recommended even to authors who don't work onto UT2Kx

Mozi & Nathillien -> hi, guys! Wassup'?

moonflyer -> Hope you like your new city, and congrats on your job. As for me, well, lots of things – and I mean looots of things – far too much to tell actually; but no mapping any more and I don't think I'll come back to it: this page has been turned now...
