For now, here's the map that I have in progress (DM-TitanFortress), and so far, the only sky you'll see is through a skylight in the center "arena" room of this map. Right now, I'm too afraid to cut any windows in the corner turrets to get any sky from those. So, what do you think about the skybox? Big enough, not big enough, or what? Here's what the screenshot shows:

...and yes, I know that the sky is a lava texture, I'm just going for that original Doom II feel that this map was originally built for. Bringing it to UT2004 is just the beginning.

Right, this is the room where that skybox is pretty much going to be used, in the main area. It's the TexPanner, so it'll be a moving sky, kinda like Quake had, and should make this map somewhat spooky.

Oh, that's right, that was Quake II that had the yellow-orange sky, but it was stationary. Quake 1 had the moving, eerie purplish sky, that's right.
