out of paper....
I made this for "my son"
, it's a little over 16" tall.
I remade the model in Wings3d and used the textures (head and body) from the extras folder in 2k4. It took about 3 weeks to redesign* and then to actually make in paper. It's not posable, the joints are hot glued together.....meh, He digs it....
I'd like to say it was "free" but it used up a full color cartridge (17$) and I had to buy 100lb card stock (about 10$)
Here's the stuff if you want to make one:
The "Pepakura" file: http://www.mediafire.com/?jjgmydy4noo
You'll need the free Pepakura Designer: http://www.tamasoft.co.jp/pepakura-en/ to open it.
The Head texture:
The Body texture:
I left it in the pepakura file type so that you can scale it up and down if you want, also you'll have to look closely at the model in order to make it, it'll help if you enable the edge numbers, just play w/pepakura designer alot before printing. Also, you might have to assign the provided textures to the body and head....I dunno...
As a warning, use 100lb card stock, if you try and use regular paper you're going to be very frustrated trying to put this together.
If you've never done a papercraft model, these videos might help:
http://www.yamaha-motor.co.jp/global/entertainment/papercraft/howto/index.html, they're full of really good tips. Also, you might wanna make a monkey or parrot or two before you attempt this.....
.
ps, let me know if you have any problems, i'll try and help. Also, if you just cannot figure out how to operate all this stuff I'll put up the printed pages.
