DM-Swoon BETA (UT99)

Yey. . .I finally have a beta out, it's for ut99 (i will join the 2k4er's soon. . .I will)

Um. . .Had it for a while now, figured I should prolly let peeps see it (I might get in trouble though. . .eek) It's been pathed courtesy of auto paths function (so it sucks!) and it has all it's items and thingys (which I really think aren't layed out all too well. . .this. . .and pathing. . .is prolly the things I am really wanting some help with.) Other than that. . .I know it has a horrid layout, I know the lower level is a touch too dark and I know I JUST KNOW someone is gonna say it goes too slow!!! Sorry! I really don't do it on purpose, really The only thing is I have this unnerving feeling I haven't included all the packags. .. I prolly have but. . .anyway If I is missing something lemme know ya.

This map is really sweet. There wasn't really much bad things to find in it.
Textures, lighting, everything seems to be almost perfect. There was
however one thing I didn't like about this one...
I usually prefer when maps that has ell custom stuff in MyLevel. This map
had 7(!) extra packages included in the zip. Thats quite a lot. I usually don't
even try maps out if they have more than 2-3 packs, however, when it comes
to your maps I can live some extra packages because it's always worth it =P

Just in case you did not know; meshes and scripts can also be included in MyLevel by typisng the following in the consol:

obj load file=MeshName.u package=MyLevel

I did actually find a thing on your map I think isn't right:

I fell down this hole a couple of times, but i didn't die, nor was I able to get up.
The green fog kinda hurts my eyes after a while, but it might look diffirent on diffirent computers.

I also found another thing. It's not something that is wrong, I just got a bit curious when I found this empty cage:

Whish I could comment on gameplay and flow, but my poor ol' comp is pretty tormented right now, so it lags quite a lot.

Overall a very visually superior map with great atmosphere, as expacted from you =P Good job!! :2thumb:

Thanks for taking the time guys. Um I'll get around to adding collision hulls over the plank thingys. . . as you may have noticed I have a lot of "getting around to do" in regards to making the map run faster. Its currently a corpse being pushed by snails atm :)

Oh and that little cage thing you found was the original torch holders. . .the shadows they ended up casting were too dramatic even for me. . .so I ditched them and went for the wood ones I have now.

Really looking forward to what you have to say mayhem!
