I dig your green cactus shot the most!
So I came up with: http://www.rawphotonews.com/
I have an old friend who came into possession of a panoramic photo print from the 1930s. It has been rolled up for years and he would like to unroll it, possibly have it reprocessed. What is a good procedure for properly unrolling the print without causing undue damage? Or, would you recommend he take the print to a professional to unroll it?
Thanks to anyone who can provide helpful info.

Luck, and standing outside for an hour and holding the shutter open for 5-8 seconds at a time or until lightning struck. I would try keeping the shutter open for around 30 seconds if I had a darkening ND filter for the 10-20 lens, not sure if it that would work any better. It's tricky to get the right balance between the city lights and lightning strikes. Anyone have some experience with this?

So, my friend has generously given me his Manfrotto tripod that he doesn't use and it's fine for the camera with the kit lens but I need to get a different adapter plate to use with the AF-S Nikkor ED 70-200mm f/2.8G VR II as the single pin adapter plates unscrew in use (this is the one that I have: http://www.manfrotto.com/product/8374.56.76907.0.0/625/_/Hexagonal_Plate_Adapter).
My problem is that I can't make out from the pictures which adapter plate I need to use with the longer lens. There are a couple that look like they have two screws (or one screw and a pin) but the pictures aren't clear enough for me to make out. The list of options is here: http://www.manfrotto.com/product_list/8374.56.76907.0.0/Plate_Adapters
Could one of the owners of the 70-200 suggest which plate they think I should be going for? My guess is this: http://www.manfrotto.com/product/8374.56.76907.0.0/505PL/_/505PL_Accessory_Plate
Great news site you made there Mike. I've read most of the frontpage stuff and I loved it. Going to keep an eye on it
That image hurts my eyes and every time I try to focus on the butterfly, my eyes keep getting pulled to the right with that horribly distorted harsh bokeh, well I think it's distorted, I dunno. All I know if that my eyes are bleeding now.
You need to crop that stuff out man.
