The WIP Screenshot Thread!

  • Two Factor Authentication is now available on BeyondUnreal Forums. To configure it, visit your Profile and look for the "Two Step Verification" option on the left side. Holp style is fine. It's sometimes nicer to play in a HOLP map than in an overly meshed out map.

When it's trimmed and lit it will look great :D

UE3 can do a lot with lighting and also normals come out nice on materials.

The inside shot is UT99. The aim is to get the map to look close but at the same time with a little more high def materials

Malevolence is a classic map! A true inspiration for me back in the day...

Looks as awful as the original, if that's what you intended.

I'm not a fan of smoke, haze or bloom (especially in small, closed rooms), but the improvement is significant. Nice lighthing.

Hell's Highway map I'm working on. Heavy WIP, and it will stay that way for a while because a one-legged horse is more stable than HH's editor.

I notice that you took those screenshots in the editor by the fact that the pickups are unlit. A quick way to make the editor render them correctly is to click on the "unhide all" button (at the bottom of the tool bar). I'm not sure exactly why that works, but since I rarely have anything hidden, it's an easy way to get around the rendering issue.
