Hmm, possible... However, I feel they will be more focused on GoW and other things like that. Though I doubt they would let UE3 have no Unreal game in it :)

Which is XBox only game (which I don't have and won't have) and I doubt being it really that fun.
Epic should again start making games for PC and not let PC be filled with other crap.
Another Unreal game is a must rather than UT, I don't mind not seeing another UT for even a decade.

But I did not play the console titles and I cannot afford them. (i didn't play even gears of war for pc though, I bought UT3 instead)
Still I doubt the console stuff is better than their old games.
Why not release the games for all platforms? It is not hard...it is being developed on PC primarily after all, only later ported to console by the console specialist coders etc.

You would be mad as well if you couldn't have consoles.
I hope for another Unreal title, even a good spinoff, or perhaps they should hire me as I have some ideas for a spinoffs. :p
Like even a game centered about the strider wars etc with say a mix of strategy game with FPS.

And PC market is filled with realism simulating or partially simulating games which are not fun at all, I hate to not be able to run properly (that is I don't mind simple limiters like in U2XMP etc), to drown in water after i run a bit because I ran out of oxygen not to mention it is unrealistic, it is more "realistic" than reality which is not fun at all.
And that I can't aim properly, because I am moving and it is doing other ****e stuff.
Yeah I count even games like Far Cry for this, although Far Cry isn't new.
I count for that things like Ballistic weapons for UT2004 or runestorm stuff in general too.
WHAT's the ****ing fun in that???

Games are supposed to be better than reality, not the exact opposite.

Half life 2 and episodes is at least better in that, that it is not overly realistic, but still there are things that pissed me off about the game such as the invincible vehicles or that when you throw it away a bit it ends game etc. That is bit another extreme etc.

It's more like: RTNP started the downward spiral, and Unreal 2 is hopefully when Epic understood they made a mistake.

If Unreal 3 is to succeed, Epic needs to make it themselves, rather than hand if off like they did with RTNP and Unreal 2.

You're completely misinformed. RTNP (and it was damn awesome) and Unreal 2 were developed by Legend, NOT EPIC.

Don't kid yourselves by that announcement. Remember Unreal 2 killed off that part of the franchise.

I never understood why companies release sequels for good games and don't do that with games that didn't go out that well. If you release a sequel to a good game, players will have high expectations and will want it to be even better than the initial good game was. And obviously that is hard to do, and they usually fail, making the community split to those who stick with the first title and those who play the sequel. While if they were to create sequels for bad games, people wouldn't have that many expectations, and there is a lot more freedom for the devs - the more you change (and add good ideas), the better the sequel will be, and players will have nothing to complain about.

And you could have said that UT2003 killed the UT series, yet we see 2 more UTs here. Some would say that UT3 killed it, yet we see a promise to release another UT in the future, even if distant. And U2 is far from being bad, just wait for the time when we get the permission to release RC9...

You're talking to someone with thick opinions. People will always complain no matter how good is your product. For many people, UT1 is the undefeatable king, and it is solely for nostalgia or because the "original is always better and the sequels can't beat it".
I found UT3 to be overall much better. But there are people who don't like this genre of hardcore games and leave it. Plus, it was already damaged by Midway, as they did terrible marketing for UT3.

It was a bad move continuing with the UT series rather than the Single Player one. UT never needed a sequel.

He didn't say it was not Epic, just that Epic realized mistake, but it is not that even. Wheel of Time was a proper game back then, not RtNP, on RtNP there were hired quake and unreal community mappers and coders to do the job (and it is seen it was rushed), while wheel of time had even core team working on it.
And it was time when Infogrames were taking over, so on WoT you don't see their influence much, it was still released as GTi.
