Best Anti-Virus for UT3

Two Factor Authentication is now available on BeyondUnreal Forums. To configure it, visit your Profile and look for the "Two Step Verification" option on the left side. We can send codes via email (may be slower) or you can set up any TOTP Authenticator app on your phone (Authy, Google Authenticator, etc) to deliver codes. It is highly recommended that you configure this to keep your account safe.
OK, so this thread's topic has expanded a bit, but I use Avira's AntiVir Free for all 3 XP home computers and my one at work. It seems to work fine with UT3 and it doesn't really seem to interrupt it too bad when it updates either, but I'll have to watch for that again; although, I do try to update before I start the game as a precaution.
As far as spyware/malware, I use SpywareBlaster, Spybot, MalwareBytes and SuperAntispyware. I recently axed Ad-Aware and added the last two.

Yes. That along with Zone Alarm free. You can find a lot of free utilities at MajorGeeks.com
One thing I don't like about AVG 8.5 is it combines the anti-virus and anti-spyware into one process (or something like that), so you can't disable the anti-spyware if you have other things on your system that takes care of that. We have it at work and I just noticed this today.
Although the virus-scanning part of AVG also takes care of checking for spyware, you can tell it not to. You can selectively turn off checking for spyware for both the Resident Shield (on-access scanner) or any of the Scan Settings (on-demand scanner) if you wish; screenshots below. You can access that dialog box from Tools --> Advanced Settings.

AVG works fine so far. About a year ago Avast missed a virus and I had to re-format and re-install OS. No more Avast for moi.

BTW. Comcast do not make Norton.
Symantec make Norton. Comcast is your internet provider.
Symantec pay ISPs to shove free Norton trials at people (it does not stay free).
If people search first they will find that the quality of Norton is so random over the months, that you cannot trust it.
ISPs could give really free, high quality antivurus, but nobody will pay them to do that.
The final word on choosing your antivirus is;
Look at the comparison sites, and never trust the opinion of a user with no comparison to something else.
Over the past year (2015) Avira has been voted the best by the independent AV test sites, for the most months.
Avira and Bitdefender have been the best free AV over the past year, and currently still are.
